Victory Formation

The Tigers get it done 19-12.

Clemson 19 - Nebraska 12

Nebraska needed a great drive with 1:39 left in the game.
Unfortunately, the Tigers picked up a safety and now lead by 7.

17-12 Tigers

Clemson had a huge stop by Bowers at the end of the third quarter. The
Tigers will have to play well to close out the Cornhuskers.

Clemson 14 Nebraska 12

Nebraska had a great drive and scored to pull within two. They went
for the tie but came up a yard short.

14-6 Tigers

With 3:26 left in the first half Aaron Kelly caught a pass in the flats, broke a tackle and scored.

Earlier in the quarter James Davis caught a screen for 30 yards and a score.

In the first half Cullen Harper was 19-26 for 174 yards and 2 TDS. Spiller rushed 8 times for 29 yards. James Davis carried the ball 4 times for 3 yards, but Davis had a 30 yard touchdown reception.

Nebraska's Ganz was 9-13 with one TD. He connected with 5 receivers in the first half. The kicking game has really let the Huskers down thus far. Adi Kunalic is 0-2 on field goals and 0-1 on his extra point attempt.

14-6 Tigers at the half. Nebraska is set to receive.

Nebraska 6 Clemson 0

The key play might end up being a missed extra point. Ganz has been under pressure the whole first quarter.

This Should Get You Fired Up

I doubt this one will get by many Clemson fans without getting them upset. I have seen a lot in my days, but this just added a bit more motivation for me. I hope the Tigers get a good look at this before kickoff. It's time to repay the Huskers!

Tommy Bowden on ESPN

I am thinking you will see much more of this as Tommy settles in on
life after Clemson. His brother Terry did the same thing for a few
years. I think Tommy is the better speaker of the two. He could have a
great career behind the mike.

K.C. Leads Tigers

Clemson sent a message to the league tonight with a huge road win. ACC
road wins are tough to come by, much less a 19 point one. It will be
interesting to see where the Tigers are in the polls tomorrow.

Halftime CU 38 - UM 30

A 16-0 run helps lead the Tigers to the half. The Tigers are much
improved from the line this year and that could pay off later this
season.

Clemson vs Miami

The Tigers look to start the ACC off with a win.

Stitt Leads Tigers

Clemson wins a huge game on the road tonight. Stitt had a huge second
half helping the Tigers win 76-74.

The Next Question

We know now that Dabo Swinney is going to be the next coach, but will that be enough to keep C.J. Spiller from leaving for the NFL? Will "Lightning" strike for a fourth season in Clemson?

ESPN reporting Dabo is coach

Tigers Select Dabo

It seems more apparent each moment that Dabo Swinney will be the next head coach at Clemson. The Tigers impressive win against South Carolina, plus a 4-2 record under Swinney was enough to get him the job. The announcement is expected to come on Monday or Tuesday.

Saw Dabo Today

We were looking at houses and low and behold we were in Dabo's
neighborhood. As we left, Dabo was pulling into his house. What are
the odds?

Coaching Speculation

The web is wild with anticipation of the next Clemson head coach. It's being reported that a press conference could come as early as Tuesday. The situation could be a bit shocking, but let me give my thoughts.

Let's start with the situation at L.S.U. Les Miles hasn't exactly delivered this season. The L.S.U. team has looked terrible at times, and if you recall Michigan really wanted him last year. In turn, Michigan is not happy with the job that Rich Rodriguez has been doing and might let him walk away if they have Miles secured.

If L.S.U. loses to Arkansas today, I get the feeling this ball might get rolling. If there is a "ACE" up Terry Don's sleeve, it might give the "All In" Clemson fans a set of pocket "R"'s.

Just my thoughts.

Spiller's Effort

Not only is he the most talented player, he plays with the most heart.
What a complete player.

It's obvious to see why he will be an early draft pick if he leaves
this year.

The Spirit

Dabo contineus to amaze me with the spirit that he brings. The fans
are excited and loud today.

Credit Dabo as he sprinted down the hill to the 50 yard line leading
the team out.

Dabo just earned some bonus points towards his potential to be the
next coach. Even if I don't
think he is the answer we are looking for.

My Thoughts

I was sitting here thinking about the coaching situation. Sadly, I
think that the best move might not be Dabo.

Granted, I love his fire, I love his spirit, but what Nick Saban is
doing is a testiment to great head coaching.

I might be wrong on this, but I think the best move needs to be a huge
statement. When you look at the careers of Bobby Bowden and Joe
Paterno, you have to realize how few titles a school can expect to win
with the best ever.

A statement this season could lead to greatness the next. It's time to
make our statement. These moments are few and far between.

Yabba Dabo Does!

Clemson gets a huge win that keeps them in the hunt for the ACC
championship. How? I have no idea, but it's true.

Saturday, October 18, 2008

Yabba Dabo Doo!!

Scott Hardigree of Hartwell, Ga shows off his Yabba Dabo Doo shirt.
Even in defeat Clemson fans are excited about the future.

Tough One

I'll have to review the film, but I didn't see the hold on 4th and
long. I thought Dabo coached a good game and gave us a chance to win.
I also want to see what tripped our DB on Georgie Tech's TD.

Go Tigers!!

Screen for TD

When run appropriately the screen can be effective. AK picks up his
second TD of the game.

14-10

The vertical pass leads to a Tiger touchdown. What a concept!!

7-3 Yellow Jackets

It would appear that Korn may have hurt his arm and might not return.

I think the absence of Spiller is hurting the Tiger offense. However,
the guys are playing hard. At tho point I still expect a Clemson
victory.

No Good

It's been a tight quarter so far. Two turnovers have hurt the Tigers.
Harper takes the field with a minute left in the first.
Korn may have been injured. I'll update as soon as I know.

Korn's First Start

Electric

Death Valley is rockin. No doubt fans are pumped up about the change.
It's as loud as it has been this year.
